Oregon woman celebrates 105th birthday

OREGON, Ill. (WIFR) - Genevieve Maas celebrates her 105th birthday Thursday at the Oregon Living and Rehabilitation Center.

Her granddaughter and great-granddaughter were by her side for the celebration and to open the letters from Oregon Middle School students.

Genevieve lived most of her life in the Rockford area and worked 50 years as a real estate agent. She said she was very happy to be with her friends and family today on her special birthday.

“I’m overwhelmed... and to have my grandkids here with me and my great granddaughter with me, it’s been wonderful,” Maas said.
