ROCKFORD (WIFR) – Spots are still open for women of all ages to sign up for a self-defense class at Rock Valley College.
"I see the students from the very beginning where they may be feeling timid about even striking the pads, they don't want to hurt the pad to really wanting to knock my head off with their striking motions and kicks,” says RVC Police Chief Joe Drought.
The class starts Monday, August 4th. It goes for two weeks, Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The self-defense lessons will be held in the dance studio in the physical education center at Rock Valley College. It costs $40 to enroll.
