ROCKTON (WIFR) ---- Up in Rockton there's a Cub Scout pack to be proud of. On Monday, a unified effort by a group of second graders shows support for a fellow pack member going through a second fight against cancer.
All of Cub Scout Pack 619 shaved their heads during tonight's meeting at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Rockton. And they did so to show solidarity for fellow Cub Scout Tyler Levine; who even got to do some of the shaving himself. Seven year old Tyler has seen his cancer come back, causing even more aggressive and longer lasting treatments this time around. But Tyler's mom, Alisha Levine, says the best medicine has always been the support shown by Tyler's friends and pack mates.
"The fact that they're all going to shave their heads in support of Tyler who didn't have that option I think says a lot,” said Alisha. “Cub Scouts have been a great resource and just a great group of people for Tyler, and this is just one more way they've supported him throughout this.
Pack 619 also raised over $2,500 to help Tyler with medical costs. To find out more about Tyler's progress and how you can help, you can join the "Tough for Tyler" page on Facebook
