ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) Despite a warm, sunny day, it was a tough final round on the links for some of the Stateline's best golfers. However, Brian Silvers did just enough to hold off Jamie Hogan to win the 49th Annual Seth B. Atwood Golf Classic.
No golfer in the championship division shot under +3 (75) on Sunday. This comes a day after two golfers were a stroke under and Hogan shot a par 72.
Silvers' victory at Atwood Homestead gives him his third straight event win, after a one-day tournament victory in Lena and winning the Mauh-Nah-Tee-See two weeks ago.
In the women's division, Hui Chong Dofflemyer flipped the script from in the final round, being the only lady to keep her score under 80. Day One leader Brooke Bunjes had a rough day on Sunday, finishing four strokes behind Dofflemyer.
