ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) When Tyler and Dylan Sikura hit the ice for the season opener, they will be playing for the same team for the first time since junior varsity in high school.
Tyler has one season under his belt in Rockford where he was second on the club with 23 goals and third with 39 points.
Dylan joins the organization after ending his collegiate career with Northeastern where he scored the third most goals in the country with 22.
The Sikuras expect to feed off of each other as soon as the puck is dropped.
"I think there's some instant chemistry between us two being brothers and all," said Dylan. "I think we think about the game pretty similarly and I think we can both benefit each other's game."
"I view him as someone I'm trying to look out for rather than torment," said Tyler. "We've had our cases of disagreements, but I'm always looking out for him and trying to do the best thing and guide him. It's going to be no different now while we are together."
