Oregon's Nelson signs her letter of intent to play volleyball at DePaul

Bailey Nelson made her commitment to DePaul official on Monday when the senior signed her letter of intent to play volleyball for the Blue Demons.

Nelson led Oregon to a regional title as a junior in 2017 and was named an All-State Honorable Mention in the same year.

The four-year varsity right-side hitter was named a captain for he Hawks as a junior and senior.

Although Oregon's season came to an end in the regional championship this year, Nelson credits her time as a Hawk for getting the chance to go D1.

"Oregon volleyball has always been a welcoming place for me," said Nelson. "The coaching staff has always seen the best in every player."

"I think the way that they viewed me as a player from freshman to senior year really helped me gain my confidence and they gave me a lot of opportunities to become the player that I am."
