ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Coming off their most successful season in the American Hockey League, the IceHogs today announced the regular season schedule for the upcoming year.
Rockford will begin the season on the road with back-to-back games in Cleveland on Oct. 5 & 6. The IceHogs first home game will be that following Saturday, Oct. 13 when they host the Stars in a Western Conference Finals rematch.
That next day, Sunday, Oct. 14, will be the Hershey Bears lone visit to the BMO Harris Bank Center.
The Chicago Wolves visit Rockford on Friday, Nov. 23. It's one of just three home games in November for the IceHogs. The other two games at home that month are Nov. 3 & 7 both against the Iowa Wild. The game on Nov. 7 is a school-day matinee game with a puck-drop set for 10:30 am.
Wilkes-Barre Scranton makes its return to the Forest City on Wednesday, Feb. 6, while the Tuscon Roadrunners make their first visit ever to the BMO Feb. 8 & 9.
Other notes from this schedule, December and March have the most home dates with eight each month. Of the 38 home games this year, 22 of them will be played on either a Saturday or Sunday.
