BELVIDERE, Ill. (WIFR) The IceHogs were back on the ice following a big win on Tuesday night as they hosted their annual outdoor practice at Doty Park in Belvidere.
Human and canine fans braved the cold and lined the boards to see their favorite Rockford skaters under the lights.
The Hogs have kept a positive attitude over the last two months despite their fall in the Central Division standings and they say nights like these definitely help.
"It's awesome," said John Quenneville. "Of course you get to be really close to them and they get to be close to us and I see a lot of smiles and we're smiling too. It's a really fun time."
"It's pretty cool for them and it's pretty cool for us being able to meet the people that are dedicated to come out in this cold weather and bond with us and watch us play hockey," said Brandon Hagel. "Obviously they support us the most so we'll do as much as we can to do that right back."
