More than 4,300 stuffed animals were tossed onto the ice after Brandon Hagel's first period goal in the IceHogs 5-2 loss to the Admirals on Saturday.

Trailing by a goal in the period, Rockford turned defense into offense. Matthew Highmore got his stick in the passing lane, then poked the puck ahead to Hagel for a breakaway. The rookie did not waste the opportunity to let the fur fly, picking his spot over the glove of Troy Grosenick.

The plush buddies were then tossed onto the ice from every angle of the BMO Harris Bank Center. It took the ice crew and volunteers nearly ten minutes to collect the teddy bears.

In total, 4,371 stuffed animals were collected. They will be donated to local families in need this holiday season.

The IceHogs will get a second crack at Milwaukee on Tuesday, December 10.
