ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) Rockford IceHogs forward Matthew Highmore will be sidelined at least four months after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder earlier in the week.
Highmore's recovery will take anywhere from four to six months, which limits his chances of returning in the regular season. He had three goals and four assists for the IceHogs this season
The IceHogs released this statement via Twitter:
“Matthew Highmore underwent surgery on November 13th to repair injuries sustained to his right shoulder. The procedure was performed successfully by Dr. Scott Trenhaile and Dr. Michael Terry. We expect Matthew to make a full recovery and return to hockey in approximately 4-6 months.”
