Huntley powers past Harlem for regional title

BELVIDERE, Ill. (WIFR) -- Combine strong starting pitching and just enough clutch hitting, and Huntley can walk out of Belvidere North as 4A regional champs with an 8-0 win over Harlem.

Huskies' starting pitcher Logan Burbach had it going early, striking out four in the first three innings. However, the fourth inning turned out to be troublesome for the senior.

Harlem had its chances, mainly in the second inning. The Huskies had a man on third with one out, but couldn't bring him in after David Galassi struck out and Jordan Anderson bounced out to the shortstop.

Nicholas Laxner stymied the Harlem offense all afternoon, which included six strikeouts.
