Hononegah's Frommer signs letter of intent to run at UIC

ROCKTON, Ill. (WIFR) Hononegah senior Taylor Rrommer will be running cross country and track at the University of Illinois-Chicago next year, after signing her letter of intent this afternoon.

Frommer helped the Lady Indians to the NIC-10 cross country title this past fall and earned All-Conference honors each of her four years. She is just the fourth female runner from Hononegah to go to a division one college.

It's a bit of history that Frommer was surprised to hear.

"To be up the ranks with them, that means a lot to me because I've always looked up to them", said Frommer. "I've always seen their records on the record board. I'm like, you know what, I'm going to try and get there. And I have I could not be more proud."

"If my team wasn't there pushing me or the other girls that I'm really good friends with on the other schools, they're the ones that have pushed me to get to where I am today and where I've been all four years. Just the amount of potential that my coach has seen in me and what he's done for me is what made me get on to there and everywhere else I'm going to."
