MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. (WIFR) -- Winning never gets old, just ask the Harlem girls bowling team. The Lady Huskies won their second straight national championship on Saturday.
The team came home Tuesday via a police escort. Dozens of friends and family welcomed them back. Harlem defeated O'Fallon by 118 pins to win the team title.
The Lady Huskies have been one of the most dominant programs in the area. They've won conference, regionals, sectionals, state and now nationals each of the past two years. Harlem was able to do one better in 2018 by adding an individual state and national champion in Rebecca Hagerman and Kayla Verstraete respectively.
