ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) The Gymnastics Academy of Rockford can stake its claim as the best trampoline and tumbling program in the country after winning another national title in Florida.
More than 60 athletes represented the academy at the USTA Trampoline & Tumbling national championships. The group brought home 32 first place trophies and more than 120 top-ten finishes overall. The next best team had a total of 52 top-ten finishes.
Karlie Anderson, Kaedyn Bevill, and Asa Taylor were named to the USTA Elite National Team.
Trampoline head coach Ute Hager was named the National Coach of the Year for the first time in her 22-and-a-half year coaching career.
