Isaiah Roby has yet to play a NBA game, but the Dixon native is on to his second team after being traded from Dallas to Oklahoma City on Friday.
The former Dukes star was a second-round pick (45th overall) of the Mavericks in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Roby was on a two-way contract with Dallas and has played limited minutes for the Mavericks G League affiliate, Texas Legends. Roby appeared in nine games with the Legends, averaging nine points and seven rebounds.
In return, Dallas got Justin Patton and cash consideration in the trade. According to Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News, the move was to clear room on the roster for the Mavericks to acquire Willie Cauley-Stein from Golden State.
