CHICAGO (WIFR) Dixon School Resource Officer Mark Dallas will serve as honorary captain at the Chicago Bears game Monday night at Soldier Field.

Dallas is credited for stopping suspected shooter Matt Milby when he opened fire during graduation practice in May at Dixon High School.

Dallas was able to quickly return fire and stop Milby. No students or staff were hurt in the incident.

Milby pleaded not guilty to three counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm.

Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner honored Dallas earlier this year by proclaimed May 30 as Officer Mark Dallas Day.

The Bears host the Seattle Seahawks in their home opener at 7:15 p.m.
