ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Rockford may be home of the Blackhawks minor league affiliate, but for one Saturday afternoon, it housed a hockey legend.

Bobby Hull was in the Forest City signing autographs at The Collector's Bench.

"He's been taking pictures and talking and going above and beyond I think what people really thought how this would go," said owner Brad Parvin. "You know, he's very open and friendly and he's been enjoying his time here as well. So it's been awesome."

Fans waited in line with hockey pucks and jerseys for the hall of famer to sign, as well as take pictures with. Despite the Blackhawks struggles this year, "The Golden Jet" praised the IceHogs for bringing in the next wave of talent to Chicago.

"They have developed some great young players to come and bolster the Blackhawks," said Hull. "It's just too bad we didn't have a few more really good ones, or they'd be in the playoffs in another week."
