HUNTLEY, Ill. (WIFR) Belvidere North ran out of gas in the third set and fell to St. Charles East 20-25, 27-25, 25-19 in the sectional semifinals at Huntley High School on Monday.
BrookeLyn Messenger had 15 kills for the Blue Thunder, while Peyton Sewell paced North with 37 assists.
Belvidere North ends a historic season where, in her first season, head coach Amanda Carlson led the team to a school-record 34 wins, a second-straight outright NIC-10 title, and its first regional championship in program history.
