ROCKTON, Ill. (WIFR) For the ninth straight time, Belvidere North cheerleading won the NIC-10 championship Thursday night in Rockton.
The three-time defending state champions edged out Harlem and Hononegah for the conference crown.
"It's honestly one of the most amazing feelings in the world," said senior Sophia Dutz. "I don't even know how to describe it. The last four years this competition has been one of the most fun and it's definitely a really great way to end my senior season."
"Right now it's kind of exhilarating," said senior Joel Cordonnier. "This sport is something that's brought me personally a lot of passion and a lot of hard work to be put in and it feels indescribable to see it all pay off."
