CHICAGO (WIFR) -- The Chicago Bears did not wait long in their search for a new defensive coordinator.

Chuck Pagano will become the team's next defensive coordinator, the Chicago Bears announced on Twitter.

Pagano went 53-43 in six seasons as the Indianapolis Colts’ head coach, going 11-5 and making the playoffs in each of his first three seasons. He parted ways with the Colts after the 2017 season.

The move comes after previous defensive coordinator Vic Fangio left for a head coaching job with the Denver Broncos.
