Shrimp Fra Diavolo


1 LB Large Shrimp, peeled & Divined
Red Chili Pepper
Crushed Peppercorns
Olive Oil
6 Cloves Garlic, Sliced
Oregano, a pinch
1/4Cup White Wine
2 12oz cans Tomato Puree
Fresh Parsley Chopped
Fresh Basil


Dry shrimp thoroughly, blotting with paper towels. In a large bowl season shrimp with red pepper flakes , crushed peppercorns and salt. Pour olive oil over shrimp and stir to coat well.
Preheat a large skillet over the highest heat possible. Sear shrimp in a single layer for 2 minutes, turn and sear one minute and remove from pan.
In the same pan over medium heat add olive oil and sauté garlic lightly and then add a pinch of oregano and white wine. Turn heat up, simmering until it comes to a boil and add tomato puree. Cook , stirring occasionally 10 to 15 minutes, to reduce.
Meanwhile cook Linguine in boiling salted water.
