1 tablespoon vegetable or canola oil
¼ cup butter
1 – 2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 pound medium to large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
¼ - ½ teaspoon seafood seasoning (I use Old Bay)
½ cup dry white wine
1 cup heavy cream
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
DirectionsPlace oil and butter in a large saute pan over medium high heat. After butter melts, add shrimp in a single layer and sprinkle with seafood seasoning.
After one minute, add wine and increase the heat to high, bring to a boil, flip shrimp and continue to cook other side, until shrimp is just pink.
Add heavy cream, bring to a boil and lower heat to medium. Season shrimp and wine mixture with salt and pepper. Continue to simmer for several minutes until slightly thickened.
Remove from heat and place in serving dish or individual serving bowls. Garnish with parsley and sprinkle with lemon juice.
*You can also sprinkle some grated Parmesan or an Italian Blend Cheese on top, if desired.
Serve with pasta, rice or crusty bread.
