Cheeseburger Bake

1 pound ground beef
1 cup chopped sweet onion, divided
¾ cup chopped dill pickles
4 large eggs
½ cup mayonnaise
½ cup heavy cream
¼ cup yellow mustard
8 ounces shredded cheese (the kind you like on your cheeseburger!), divided
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9”x9” (or similar) with non-stick cooking spray.

Brown the ground beef with ½ cup of the chopped onion until beef is completely cooked and onion is translucent. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the other ½ cup of chopped onion, dill pickle, eggs, mayonnaise, heavy cream, mustard and half of the cheese until well mixed. Season with salt and pepper.

Add cooked ground beef and onion mixture and mix well.

Place in prepared pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.

Bake for 35 – 40 minutes until the Cheeseburger Bake is slightly puffy and light brown.

Let sit for 5 – 10 minutes and cut into desire serving size pieces.

Garnish with desired “cheeseburger” toppings. This could be lettuce, sour cream, ketchup, avocado, sautéed mushrooms or that sauce you get from the big hamburger chain…Mock Sauce
