Butter Garlic Shrimp


½ cup butter (1 stick)
1 – 2 tablespoons minced garlic, to taste
1 Pound medium to large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
1 - 2 teaspoons lemon juice


In a large sauté pan or cast iron skillet, melt butter over medium high heat, add garlic and shrimp.

Cook shrimp for 60 – 90 seconds and then turn shrimp over to cook for an additional 60 – 90 seconds, or until shrimp is pink.

Add salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer shrimp and butter to serving dish (or divide evenly between serving bowls) and sprinkle lemon juice over the top.

Serve with crusty bread to soak up liquid.
