Broccoli with Mostaccioli
1 lb. Mostaccioli
1/4 cup Olive Oil
6 cloves garlic, sliced
1 head of broccoli, tough stems removed and stalks cut into 1-inch lengths
1. In a large pot of salted water, cook broccoli just until it begins to soften. 2. Using a strainer or slotted spoon, remove broccoli to a bowl and add pasta to cooking water.
3. Meanwhile, in a large frying pan, heat oil over moderate heat. Add garlic and cook, stirring frequently, until the garlic is tender.
4. When pasta is al dente add broccoli back to cooking water.
5. Drain pasta and broccoli reserving some of the cooking water.
Stir into garlic mixture adding reserved cooking water if necessary.
