Red, White and Blue Torte


1 white cake mix
1 cup strawberry jam
1/2 cup concord grape jam
3 cups strawberries, sliced
2 cups blueberries
1 12 oz container of whipped topping, thawed


Bake white cake in two 8 or 9" layers. Cool completely. Slice horizontally into four layers. Place one layer, cut side up on serving plate. Spread with ½ of strawberry jam. Spread ½ of sliced strawberries over jam. Spread a thin layer of whipped topping. Place next layer of cake with cut side up. Repeat layer using grape jam and 1 cup blueberries. Place on next cake layer and spread with strawberry jam and strawberries (reserving a few strawberry slices) and cool whip. Place last piece of cake on top with uncut side up. Spread with cool whip and sprinkle with remaining strawberries and blueberries. Chill before serving.
