Women's March Rockford volunteers prepare for big day

WIFR Newsroom Community members are working to recruit more people to be a part of Women's March Rockford.

Volunteers were hard at work today making signs and preparing chants to get ready for the big day.

Participants would like people to know that the Women's March Rockford is for more than just women. It's for anyone who wants to help fight against inequality.

"Women are underrepresented in workplaces and just everywhere in general, but specifically women of color, and so I'm here for that reason because I want to bring more awareness to that issue and that concern," said march participant Charo Chaney.

The Women's March Rockford is Saturday, the 19th, starting at noon.
