ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory warning for several Stateline counties through 9 a.m. Thursday.
The advisory includes Boone, De Kalb, Lee, Ogle and Winnebago counties. The advisory stretches west toward Iowa, but may call for some sleet and freezing rain Wednesday evening in northern Illinois.
The National Weather Service says conditions could impact the evening commute and Thursday morning commute.
If you plan on driving in the upcoming hours, you may experience longer commutes and delays. Experts say to drive slower if you experience slick road conditions.
A flood advisory has also been issued for parts of Ogle, Winnebago and Stephenson counties.
