UPDATE: Suspect pleads not guilty to intoxicated driving in crash that killed two Rockford people

A 36-year-old Machesney Park man pleads not guilty to intoxicated driving charges in the fatal crash last June on Owen Center Road.

Paul Conrad, 66, and passenger Sheryl Andreasen, 62, were pronounced dead at the scene of the two-car accident on June 29. Winnebago County Coroner Bill Hintz says the two died of blunt force trauma.

The indictment alleges Rosner was driving his car under the influence of cocaine and heroin when he struck the victims' car.

Sean Rosner faces more than a dozen charges, including reckless homicide and aggravated DUI involving death. He also faces charges of aggravated DUI of cocaine and heroin involving death, aggravated driving with any amount of drug in blood, breath or urine and possession of a controlled substance.

Rosner's next court date is scheduled for Feb. 5.

UPDATE: ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Winnebago County Coroner Bill Hintz has identified the victims involved in a fatal crash that occurred on Owen Center Road Friday afternoon.

The driver of one vehicle, 66-year-old Paul Conrad and passenger 62-year-old Sheryl Andreasen were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver from the other car involved was transported to a local hospital.

An autopsy for Conrad and Andreasen is pending.

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - Winnebago County Coroner Bill Hintz tells 23 News he is on the way to the scene of an accident on Owen Center Road just north of Riverside Boulevard.

At this time it is not clear how many people have been killed.

Our reporter on the scene says the accident involved two cars.

A man and woman from one car were killed and a man from the second car has been hospitalized.
