POLO, Ill. (WIFR) ---- A local organization held a fun way to raise money for its senior citizens down in Polo on Saturday.

Participants dug in to “What's Cookin',” a cooking competition dedicated to benefit the Rock River Center in Oregon. Our own Aaron Wilson was there to judge along with experts from the University of Illinois Extension Nutrition and Wellness program and the American Culinary Federation.

"Tonight is our biggest fundraiser of the year here at Barnacopia. We expect 5-600 individuals come out and we have 27 teams here cooking up all kinds of different dishes to support Rock River Center," said Jamie Nobis, Executive Director of Rock River Center.
