Weight loss journey inspires stateline man to run the Chicago Marathon
Crushing his goals one milestone at a time. 21-year-old Ethan Taylor started his weight loss journey in January of 2018 with the goal of losing some weight and getting healthy. Now he's smashing that goal and inspiring countless others along the way.
Over the last year and a half Ethan has lost 184 pounds and this past weekend he did something he never thought he could do, run and finish the Chicago Marathon. But Ethan had another goal as part of his marathon journey, to raise funds for Action for Healthy Kids, an organization helping prevent and defeat childhood obesity. He raised more than $3000 and hopes to continue to inspire others to reach their goals.
“If I’m going to do this I'm going to do it right and show people the good and the bad and the ugly when it comes to weight loss and be transparent. So when it comes to the fact that tons of people have seen my story and reached out to me and tell me how inspired they were or asked me for help, it's hard to say how happy it makes me,” said Ethan Taylor.
