Rockford residents ID'd as victims from double fatal accident on I-39

OGLE COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) -- Illinois State Police Dist. 1 release the names of two Rockford residents killed in a head-on crash Monday afternoon.

Police say a 2007 Toyota Camry was driving north on I-39 near Sterling when it crossed the center line and was struck by a semi tractor-trailer.

The Camry driver, Moo Ler, 50, and passenger, Leonardo Lozano, 51, both from Rockford, were pronounced dead on scene.

The truck driver, identified as Kenneth Miller, 51, of Kentucky was not hurt.

Traffic was re-routed on I-39 for several hours following the crash.
