CHICAGO (WIFR) -- The Chicago Bears will be looking for at least one new coach in 2019.

Vic Fangio, the Bears' defensive coordinator for the last four seasons, will become the new head coach of the Denver Broncos.

Fangio has spent more than 30 years as an NFL assistant coach, but has never been a head coach at any level of football.

The Bears defense featured several pro bowlers and led the team to its first playoff game since 2010 last week. The Bears lost their first-round playoff game to the Philadelphia Eagles, 16-15, on Sunday at Soldier Field.

Fangio was is the oldest of the five candidates that the Broncos interviewed. The Broncos fired their last head coach Vance Joseph after going 11-21 over the last two seasons.
