Update on double homicide in Janesville

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WIFR) -- An update on the double homicide investigation in Janesville. Police say they have identified a suspect they believe is responsible for shooting and killing two women early Monday morning.

Investigators say the suspect was known to both victims. On Monday, The bodies of 27-year-old Brittany McAvoy and 30-year-old Seairaha Winchester were found in the 32-hundred block of Midvale Drive. An autopsy found they both died from "homicidal firearm related trauma." Police say they are not releasing the name of the suspect at this time.
