Two men convicted for deadly Great Oaks complex shooting

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Two men were convicted of first-degree murder charges for a deadly shooting​ at the Great Oaks Apartment Complex.

Sanchez A. Curry and Devontae T. Wrancher were found guilty on 12 counts of first-degree murder.

Authorities say Anton Harris, a man from Carol Stream, Illinois, was shot at the complex on Sept. 23, 2018. Harris was taken to a hospital, but later died as a result of a gunshot wound.

Curry faces at least 45 years in prison and could be sentenced to natural life. Wrancher faces up to 75 years in prison.

Curry and Wrancher will return to court on July 16, 2019, when the judge expects to schedule a sentencing date.
