Two arrested, one wanted for armed robbery of Auburn Street grocery store

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Two suspects were arrested and another is wanted for an armed robbery at a Rockford grocery store last month.

Robert Phinnessee Jr., 24, and Bryttany Valencia, 29, were taken into custody on June 4. Darel Harrison Jr. (pictured right) is wanted.

Police say multiple suspects, one with a handgun, entered the Auburn Convenient Grocery at 3205 Auburn Street on May 28.

The suspects reportedly demanded money from the clerk and took off with cash from the cash register and the clerk's wallet. Police say no one was hurt, but its not known how much money was stolen.

Phinnessee Jr. was charged with armed robbery. He also faces aggravated discharge of a firearm charges after police responded to shots fired in the 700 block of Maple Street on May 19.

Valencia was charged with armed robbery and obstructing justice. Phinnessee Jr. and Valencia are both being held in Winnebago County Jail.
