Two armed suspects take off with victim’s car in south Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Rockford police are searching for two male suspects after a vehicular hijacking late Wednesday night.

Officers responded to the call around 11:30 p.m. in the 4500 block of Governor’s Drive.

Police say the victim was walking to his apartment when two armed suspects robbed him of his belongings.

The suspects took the victim's car keys and drove away from the apartment in the silver, four-door Chrysler 300. He was not hurt in the incident.

The wanted men are described as black males, around 20-years-old, about six feet tall and 170 pounds.

They were last seen wearing blue jeans, black hoodies and white scarves over their faces.
