Traffic calming study results

The plan was put in place in 2018, now it's time to provide some results and feedback. For several months last year the city of Rockford placed three temporary traffic calming devices along Chelsea Avenue with the goal of reducing speeds along the street. The three devices were a traffic circle, curved bump outs and a median. Tonight the city reported the results of speed studies done during the trial period and they also heard from neighbors.
