Tornado Warning expires in Ogle County

OGLE COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) -- The National Weather Service says a tornado warning for Ogle County has ended.

A warning took effect around 1 p.m. and lasted until 2:45 p.m. It included Oregon, Mount Morris, Polo Rochelle, Chana and other nearby communities.

Under a tornado warning, the National Weather Service says there is imminent danger to life and property.

The National Weather Service recommends the following actions during a tornado warning:

-Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
-Avoid windows.
-If in a mobile home, a vehicle, or outdoors, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
