Top Illinois high schools ranked in national report

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- The report cards are out.

Illinois high schools were recently ranked in the U.S. News & World Report "Best High School Rankings." The report grades schools nationally based on college readiness, graduation rate, and total enrollment.

Among Stateline schools, Hononegah High School received the best ranking at 52. It ranked in the top 92 percentile in the national rankings and 1,251 overall.

Other notable Stateline schools ranked include:
Auburn High School (No. 120 in Illinois)
Sycamore High School (165)
Harlem High School(207)
Dixon High School (287)
Guilford High School (293)
Rochelle High School (301)
Belvidere North High School (346)
South Beloit High School (398)

The study surveyed nearly 650 high schools in Illinois and more than 17,000 high schools nationally.
