ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Police recovered thousands of pills from a Rockford woman suspected of holding them in her home to redistribute throughout the country.

Elisha Meneghetti, 40, was arrested and charges with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

Rockford police issued a warrant after learning about possible drug sales. Detectives from Homeland Security and the U.S. Postal Service identified Meneghetti as a suspect.

The pills were reportedly held in the 3100 block of Kentwood Parkway. Authorities gathered information suggesting pills were being shipped to the address for redistribution.

Upon arrival, police say Meneghetti was in the act of packaging up pills for shipment. Officers recovered more than 3,000 pills from the home.

Meneghetti is being held in the Winnebago County Jail. Police say more charges are possible. She is considered innocent unless proven guilty by the court of law.
