ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- The Texas Roadhouse location in Rockford is paying tribute to the McHenry County Sheriff's deputy killed Thursday morning.

A post on the restaurant's Facebook page reads, "In honor of Deputy Jacob Keltner, our Fallen Hero table will remain set this way until he is laid to rest."

Deputy Jacob Keltner had been working with U.S. Marshals under the Great Lake Regional Fugitive Task Force.

He had served the McHenry community almost 13 years, according to the McHenry County's Sheriff's Office.

Police say Keltner was shot Thursday morning while serving a warrant. The suspect, Floyd E. Brown, was wanted for burglary charges in McLean County.
