Teen arrested after Freeport police recover guns, drugs during raid

FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) -- A 17-year-old was arrested after Freeport police recovered guns and drugs during a raid Tuesday afternoon.

Police executed a search warrant in the 400 block of South State Avenue around 4:50 p.m.

Officers recovered four semi-automatic pistols, including two .380 calibers, a 9mm and a .45 caliber. Police say the .45 caliber was stolen from a Green County home earlier in the year.

Additionally, officers recovered 30 grams of suspected cannabis and three suspected MDMA (ecstasy) tablets.

The juvenile, a male, was charged with three counts of aggravated unlawful use of a firearm and no FOID card, all felony charges. The juvenile is being held at the Kane County Detention Center.
