WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) -- A TAC Team from the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office arrested a Rockford man who initially resisted arrest after a traffic violation.
Cedric Marks, 31, was stopped near North Rockton Avenue and Halstead Road around 11 p.m. Wednesday.
The TAC Team recovered a loaded handgun during the arrest. He was taken into custody after briefly resisting officers.
Marks is charged with two counts of aggravated battery, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and obstructing a peace officer (causing injury).
Marks is considered innocent unless proven guilty by the court of law.
