ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Two Swedish business workers paid a visit to the Stateline on Tuesday with an opportunity to learn more about growing their brand.

Rockford City Hall hosted two leaders from a Sweden organization "Skaraborg" to learn more about the region, in addition to companies and organizations that invest in the area.

The two workers will meet with the mayors of Rockford and Belvidere over the next week to learn new strategies for interacting with local businesses.

"they're going to meet with representatives both from the private and public sector... to learn more how the EDC works to attract companies to consider this area," said international business developer Linnea Bengtsson. "Hopefully, they can learn the models that they use here and then take them back and implement the good examples back home in Sweden."

The delegates will also attend various council meetings and tour Rockford's Swedish Historical Society.
