UPDATE: Janesville police arrest home burglary suspect

UPDATE: JANESVILLE, Wis. (WIFR) -- JANESVILLE, Wis. (WIFR) -- Janesville police have arrested a suspect who was allegedly involved in two burglaries.

Jeffrey M. Taylor, 37, of Evansville was identified as the subject.

Beloit Police had contact with a subject matching the description in the photos released earlier and contacted the Janesville Police Department.

Taylor admitted to numerous crimes, including the two in Janesville, during the follow-up investigation.

Taylor is currently at the Rock County Jail. He is waiting for an initial appearance in court.


Police are asking the public's help in identifying a person of interest for two alleged burglaries on the city's east side.

Officials say the burglaries happened overnight on separate days while the homeowners were sleeping. Entrance to the homes were made through unlocked doors.

Police say wallets and purses were taken. The stolen credit cards were later used at a Walmart.

The suspect is seen wearing the same clothing in surveillance video.

Police urge residents to lock all doors at night and keep exterior lights on.
