LOVES PARK, Ill. (WIFR) - A local organization aimed at promoting some of our military heroes has now lent a helping hand to some of our Stateline superheroes.

The Navy Club Ship #1 Auxiliary, handed over a $600 check to the folks at the Superhero Center for Autism. The money came through donations and funds from a garage sale. It will be used to purchase a sensory experience wall for kids to use at the center.

Jamie Dornink the President of the Superhero Center for Autism speaks on the wall, "This was just one of those extra things that we know that the kiddos are going to love and that they were so generous to raise the funds for this for us, it really means a lot. So I think the kids are really going to enjoy the sensory wall."
