BELVIDERE, Ill. (WIFR) -- Summerfield Zoo welcomes two-toed baby sloth this weekend.

Flash, the baby sloth, recently arrived at Summerfield Zoo. He spends his days eating, sleeping and hanging upside down as he acclimates to his new home in the animal nursery.

“We are thrilled to be adding Flash to the zoo family, as he will be a great addition to our educational programs," says Rick Anderson, director at Summerfield Zoo. "He’s just as cute to see during a visit if he’s sleeping, hanging upside down, or snacking."

A direct donation allowed the zoo to welcome Flash.

The zoo will celebrate Flash's arrival on Aug. 16 and 17. You can visit Flash at the zoo’s animal nursery on weekends through September 1, 2019.
