ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- The Irish Marching Society annual St. Patrick's Day parade went off without a hitch.
Starting off on 7th Street and 4th Avenue, floats of all sizes lined the streets, tossing out candy, beads and goodies to all who attended.
Participating since he was a child, organizer Tyler Pickering says the celebration only gets better year after year.
"It's so much fun! There's so much effort and time that goes into it and dedication from our board and help from our sponsors. When you get down here on the day of the parade, it's all so much worth it to see the kids happy, the Irish music playing, it's fantastic.”
