GURNEE, Ill. (WIFR) -- Six Flags Great America will honor veterans and active duty members of the military by offering free admission during the weekend of Nov. 9-10.

Veterans and military members who provide a valid proof of service will receive complimentary admission to Six Flags Great America. They can also purchase up to four discounted admission tickets for friends and family.

“Having the Great Lakes Naval Station in our backyard, it’s a natural fit for the park to honor the nation’s service members, veterans and their families,” said Six Flags Great America Park President Hank Salemi. “We are proud to show our appreciation and help create lasting family memories for those who give so much.”

As part of the weekend, Six Flags Great America will host the fifth annual Legions of Craft Beer Fest on Saturday, Nov. 9 and partner with local American Legion Post 771. All proceeds benefit the American Legion and Lake County Honor Flight of Illinois.
